The military is considering a complete ban on Facebook, Twitter and similar Web sites because social networks make it too easy for hackers to access the military's networks, upsetting many military members who fought to gain access to those sites. "The mechanisms for social networking were never designed for security and filtering," said a military source. "They make it way too easy for people with bad intentions to push malicious code to unsuspecting users. It's just a fact of life."
