Penn National Gaming, rumored to be a potential buyer along the Las Vegas Strip, has applied for a Nevada gaming license. The company recently purchased 1% of slot machine distributor Morris Goldstein and Associates, which allowed it to file an application with the Gaming Control Board. Penn National's top executives also filed an application for licensing approval with the board. Observers note that an approval will help the company negotiate a better price for potential acquisitions.
