A new study states that people who use workplace primary care and pharmacy services have a 10% higher adherence rate to caring for chronic conditions, compared with patients who use community programs. The study indicates that investing in the workplace model can improve patient health and help employers save money on health care spending. It is estimated that non-adherence costs the American health care system $100 billion a year.
