Unilever, which already can claim "zero trans fat" on its spreads because the products meet Food and Drug Administration guidelines, announced it will reformulate them to contain no trans fats at all. The shift on brands including I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and Shedd's Spread Country Crock will begin in August and is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2010.
