The president of the Frontier Airlines pilots union says seniority is the No. 1 issue in determining whether Southwest Airlines or Republic Airways would be a better buyer for the bankrupt carrier. "Seniority is life in aviation," John Stemmler told The Wall Street Journal. Stemmler will meet this week with executives at Southwest, who have indicated they are seeking a labor agreement with Frontier pilots as a prerequisite for moving ahead with their bid.
