Pushing aside concerns that the U.S. budget deficit might fuel inflation, White House economic adviser Christina Romer said there is nothing to worry about. "The truth is that I am thrilled at the fact that inflation expectations seem to be pretty darn flat," she said. "Given how bad the recession has been, given that we have unemployment at 9.5%, I think the greater risk is on the downside than on the upside."
