Contractors have come up with a plan to fix two tunnel-boring machines that have been used to build a sewage conveyance tunnel near Seattle. The tunnel is part of a $1.8 billion wastewater treatment project. Tunneling on the project stopped in June. Vinci/Parsons RCI/Frontier-Kemper will sink dewatering wells to the front of the cutter heads to relieve some of the pressure so workers can perform repairs.
