At the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's annual conference this week, central bankers, policymakers and leading economists from around the globe will gather to discuss the financial crisis, its lessons and how to prevent a repeat. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, whose term will end in January unless President Barack Obama reappoints him, will speak about the recovery. "Bernanke's speech is the big deal," said John Silvia, chief economist at Wells Fargo Securities. "Is this thing really over? Is it three-quarters over?"
