A Florida mother is suing the St. Lucie County School Board, alleging that a teacher had students "vote" her son, who has Asperger's syndrome, out of the class for unruly behavior. According to the claim, the 5-year-old boy was emotionally scarred after he had to stand before the class as other students critiqued him and voted, 14-2, for him to leave class. The teachers union said there is no basis for the accusation, although the teacher has been suspended by the school board.
