More software makers are opening up "app stores" for enterprise programs, hoping to leverage the enormous popularity of Apple's App Store for consumers. But the model remains a little rough around the edges in its appeal to business users, Chris Kanaracus writes. Experts say that for the app-store concept to work for large enterprises, it would have to offer a wide range of programs from many providers.
