ASDA plans to offer flu vaccine injections for £8 each, which is less than last year and lower than its rivals. ASDA said the move was a way to alleviate pressure on the National Health Service's "struggling medical centres". The development comes as competition in pharmacy activities heats up among UK retailers. Tesco, J. Sainsbury, Wm Morrison, Boots and Superdrug are all offering the vaccine.
