Teachers -- especially males -- must be careful when coming into physical contact with students or interacting one-on-one, educators say. While many school districts have policies in place, there are a few gray areas where teachers must decide for themselves what is appropriate, such as comforting students, being available via cell phone and giving students a ride home. While teachers' behavior is often harmless, officials say a wrong interpretation could lead to trouble.
