A tentative deal reached Sunday night may end the teachers strike in Washington state's Kent school district. The 1,700 teachers in the state's fourth-largest district have been on strike since Aug. 27, protesting larger classes and mandatory meetings. The deal may have teachers in school by Tuesday. A judge ruled in favor of fines for the teachers and their union if the state-employed educators did not begin working this week.
