The U.S. economy is beginning to show signs of recovery, but President Barack Obama is wary of ending the economic-stimulus package too soon. "What we have to be careful of is taking the crutches away from the patient too early," he said. The White House expects economic growth from July through September to be bumped up by as much as three percentage points because of stimulus spending.
