While investors tapped the Federal Reserve's Term Asset-backed Securities Loan Facility for $6.5 billion to buy securities backed by consumer loans, data from Dealogic show that investors borrowed a total of $14.7 billion in this part of the asset-backed securities market. Thus, investors bought more than half of the asset-backed bonds directly without Fed support, indicating that some liquidity is returning to the market.
