Leaders need to be more "reflective" when looking for ways to solve problems, says AFL-CIO Secretary Treasurer Richard Trumka, because disagreements don't always produce two clearly opposing sides. While there are instances where an organization faces a clear opponent, Trumka argues that it's a mistake to reflexively take on a combative stance.
