San Francisco's new LEED-certified staff will help manage more than 40 LEED-registered municipal projects planned for the city, according to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. More than 50 design professionals in the Department of Public Works have received LEED accreditation, and the Planning Department has 21 LEED Accredited Professionals who will manage entitlements for residential and commercial green buildings, he writes. "With the help of our LEED professionals, we are reducing our city's carbon footprint and creating healthy indoor environments for employees and visitors," Newsom writes.
