In a battle of the Canadian cable TV giants, Rogers Communications has filed suit against Shaw Communications because Shaw is trying to acquire the assets of Mountain Cablevision, a provider in eastern Canada. Rogers claims that for the past nine years the two companies have agreed to split the country in two, with Toronto-based Rogers getting the regions east of Manitoba and Calgary-based Shaw serving the regions to the west.
