The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said it will press its case against Bank of America for allegedly withholding information before the purchase of Merrill Lynch. "We will vigorously pursue our charges against Bank of America and take steps to prove our case in court," the agency said. A $33 million settlement with BofA was thrown out by a judge, so the case is due for trial in February.
