SIFMA endorsed a report from The Conference Board recommending that companies link executive compensation with long-term performance of the business and ensure compensation structures are in shareholders' best interests. Ken Bentsen, executive vice president for public policy and advocacy at SIFMA, said financial executives understand the need for incentive-based pay.
