Engineers used parametric associative software that generates "geometrical and structural models based on a set of variable parameters and link the geometrical data to the analytical and drafting software" to design a television tower in Guangzhou, China. The tower is supported by tapered steel columns that twist up the building. Observers also note that the tower is unique because it is not a sealed building -- the wind can blow straight through the tower's lattice.
