Students in middle school are invited to develop or modify a healthy recipe that uses Del Monte products for the 8th annual Stirring Up Health recipe contest. Four regional winners will be treated to the recipes, prepared by culinary experts from Johnson & Wales University.
Confectioners are experimenting with more unusual Asian and Latin flavors, especially in the chewing gum and jelly bean categories. "The American population is becoming more daring in the taste and flavor category," says Jenn Ellek, spokeswoman for the NCA.
