Roughly two in three Americans are unhappy that marketers are following their online movements, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of California, Berkeley, have found. However, Stuart P. Ingis, a partner at the law firm Venable, who works for an industry coalition developing a set of self-regulations, said such concerns "disappear" when users learn the details about tracking and the use of the information.
