A proposal to lift a ban on carry-on liquids at different times for different-sized European airports will result in confusion and delays for travelers, according to an airline insider. If the recommendation by security officials from EU member states is approved, the ban on liquids in hand luggage will be lifted in 2012 for airports handling more than 10 million passengers a year. However, smaller airports would be forced to keep the ban in effect until 2014.
