The hospitality industry in Asia wasn't hit as hard as it was in the U.S. and Europe, and now things are looking up in the Asian markets because the corporate business is coming back, said Ho Kwon Ping, executive chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings. Regional tourism within Asia held up during the worst of the downturn, he said. Business travelers are filling the hotel rooms, and the corporate meetings and incentives trade are driving improved bookings at the resorts, he said.
