Construction jobs have been lost in 325 of 337 of the largest U.S. metro areas in the past year, according to an analysis released by the Associated General Contractors of America and the federal government. "It shouldn't take an act of nature to put construction workers back on the job," said AGC chief executive Stephen Sandherr. But in Ohio, projects funded by the economic-stimulus package created some jobs last month, observers said. A review by USA TODAY found that 33 states and Puerto Rico have used stimulus funds to create or save more than 388,000 jobs this year.
