A suicide bomber attack in the southern Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchistan, which borders Afghanistan and Pakistan, killed at least five senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders and more than 20 assembled tribal leaders. A radical Sunni group from Pakistan named Jundallah claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it seeks independence for Iran's ethnic-minority Baluchi population. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Revolutionary Guard officials accused the intelligence agencies of the U.S., U.K. and Pakistan of aiding the attacks.
