IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman told the National Association of Corporate Directors that board members need to do a better job of policing tax policies at their companies. "In today's business climate, the general public has little tolerance for overly aggressive tax planning that can be viewed as corporations playing tax games," he said. Shulman has made prosecuting tax evasion by high-wealth individuals and companies a priority.
