Diane Stoneback of the Morning Call in Allentown, Pa., recalls her first flying lesson in a Cessna Cutlass. The plan was to cover the fall foliage from a new angle, flying high over the trees and shrubs of the area with a flight instructor and a photographer. Stoneback is concerned with everything from takeoff to geese, landing to simply getting into the airplane, but once she's airborne, she discovers she has an aptitude for flying.
