CleanFlex Power Systems, a startup based in Lincoln, Neb., aims to decrease pollution and enhance the efficiency of diesel-powered vehicles by developing a fuel blend that uses ethanol and water. The firm presented a pickup with a retrofitted engine at a demonstration in Sioux Falls, S.D., and said the idea could also work for freight trains running on diesel.
