Richard Rosenberg, who helps prepare students with special needs for the workplace, was named teacher of the year for California's Whittier Union High School District. Rosenberg, who has a doctorate in special education and special-education administration, is vocational coordinator for the Career Connection program, which serves students ages 18 to 22. "When I see a young adult so excited about their first interview, or working at a job site ... it's why I come back year after year," Rosenberg said.
