With the H1N1 virus posing a serious health risk to their children, parents of children with special needs are facing tough choices about whether to send them to school. In central Iowa, where about 50 kids from one middle school were recently diagnosed with H1N1, school officials say many families are keeping children with special needs in school but are taking extra precautions, including frequent hand-washing and monitoring sick classmates.
