Sudanese rebel leader Bahr Idris Abu Garda told the International Criminal Court he had no involvement in the September 2007 execution-style killing of 12 African Union peacekeepers in Darfur. Abu Garda appeared voluntarily at a hearing to determine whether he should stand trial on war crimes charges and is the first Sudanese rebel leader to appear at the ICC.
