Corporate financial outlooks are more optimistic than they have been in two years, according to CFOs surveyed by Deloitte. More than 90% believe merger-and-acquisition activity will pick up in the next year, and 39% say their companies are expecting acquisitions this year. "While the economic outlook has improved, CFOs remain cautious," says a Deloitte partner, citing emerging conservative views on debt.
