Sixth-graders from Title I schools in three Texas districts will learn how to use the latest technology in a new effort to improve their math and science skills. The Generation Hope Laptop Program, which is also supported by local foundations, corporations and universities, will begin with instruction in basic computer literacy before transitioning into video production, robotics and video game design. Upon completion of the voluntary, three-year program, students will receive a new laptop.
