The economic recovery is giving those in the travel industry some reasons to feel optimistic, but caution remains. The U.S. Travel Association is predicting a 9% decline in U.S. travel spending this year, followed by a 6% increase next year. "I describe these numbers as being less bad -- but they're certainly not good," said Suzanne D. Cook, senior vice president for research at USTA.
