The comments were part of a statement that accompanied the release of the U.S. budget deficit, which hit a record of $1.4 trillion for the fiscal year that ended in September. "Future deficits are too high, and the president is committed to working with Congress to bring them down to a sustainable level as the economy recovers," Geithner added.
