Alcatel-Lucent sees India and China as its main opportunities to grow revenue, according to the telecom vendor's head of Asia-Pacific operations, who cited the convergence of fixed-line and wireless networks as the critical factors in the region. The Asia-Pacific region contributes 19% of Alcatel's sales, a figure the company's Sean Dolan said was set to rise with such projects as working with China's telecoms to merge their wireline and wireless networks to cut costs.
