Employees can't be creative without taking risks -- and that can't happen unless their managers accept the possibility of failure, says DreamWorks Animation SKG CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg. Only by creating a secure environment, and giving people permission to fail, can leaders bring out the best in their teams. "If you don't make failure acceptable, you can't have original and unique," he says.
