Nokia could get out of the hardware business down the road and operate solely as a mobile ISP, according to a report today in the German magazine WirtschaftsWoche, which quotes a company board member. Nokia will also reportedly just ship one new model next year equipped with the Linux-based Maemo operating system, according to Reuters, a move that could quiet talk the company will abandon its Symbian platform. Nokia will also delay the launch of its Maemo 5-powered N900 smartphone by one week because of huge demand, the company said.
