Washington state schools chief Randy Dorn wants to ease testing requirements needed to graduate. Math and science exams were to be graduation requirements for the class of 2013, but Dorn wants to delay implementation of the policy. He also would like to allow students who don't pass the math exams to graduate if they score at a basic level and successfully complete four years of math classes. Business and education groups said they were concerned about the effect on math and science learning.
