Commercial construction activity in southern Nevada will essentially come to a halt once the nine projects now under way are completed, analysts say. They note that there will not be another major casino project on the Las Vegas Strip for a decade after the CityCenter project is mostly completed in December. "We are going to have a drought of commercial construction for a number of years until we burn through this inventory," noted John Restrepo, principal of Restrepo Consulting.
