Researchers said two multivitamins containing fat-soluble vitamins given to infants with biliary atresia aren't as effective as previously believed at preventing fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies in patients whose bilirubin levels are greater than 2. They said rather than giving ADEKs and AquADEKs, physicians may want to consider going back to prescribing multiple individual vitamins.
