Text messaging teenage liver transplant patients to remind them to take their medication significantly improves compliance among a group that is among the worst at it, a study in Pediatrics found. The CareSpeak program requires teens to text back within an hour that they have taken their medication, and the only glitch in the program was that some teens lost their cell phone privileges or could not afford their phones.
