Dell's decline is continuing as Taiwanese competitor Acer moved into second place behind Hewlett-Packard with a 17% year-over-year growth in notebook shipments, according to industry tracker iSuppli. Acer in the third quarter sold 13.4% of the 79.9 million PCs shipped worldwide. Dell's sales fell 5.9%, and it ended the period with a 12.9% share. HP took the top slot for the 13th straight quarter, with 19.9% of the market.
