European consumers have so far proved apathetic to the Android-powered phones, according to an IDC survey released Saturday that shows its smartphone market share in Western Europe rose only slightly, from 4.2% to 5.4% in the latest quarter ending in September. An IDC analyst cited the lack of Android devices on the market as a primary factor in the lack of interest adding that the software lacks a clear identity among European consumers.
