Now, some companies, including Amadeus, are developing technology that asks travelers about their wants and needs and then determines destination choices based on their criteria. Some travel agents are raising questions about whether the advancements will eventually replace agents. Weissmann suggests keeping a close watch on suppliers to determine how the new technology will affect the industry.
