Mark Murphy of TravelPulse.com says that travel agents should focus on the millions of baby boomers who are interested in travel. Rather than concentrating on the money those travelers may have lost during the economic downturn, Murphy suggests that agents consider that baby boomers account for a disproportionately large amount of discretionary spending. In general, the baby boomers are making money, have paid off their major expenses and are ready to travel, he writes.
