Cruise line companies, including Carnival Cruise Lines and Princess Cruises, have updated their guidelines and requirements for paid searches by travel agents and other third parties. The move was made so that other companies cannot bid on the cruise lines brands. "When a consumer searches for Carnival, they're seeking Carnival content and the goal is to provide the cleanest, straight path to the most comprehensive Carnival content available, which is on Carnival.com," said Jennifer De La Cruz, a spokeswoman for Carnival.
