Delta Air Lines does not see the need for additional capacity cuts in 2010, hinting at stabilization following an estimated $1.5 billion loss this year. Unit revenue should turn positive in the first quarter, according to Delta President Ed Bastian, offering "real tangible evidence that a recovery is under way." At a conference for investors, CEO Richard Anderson said more consolidation is needed in the airline industry, despite an uncertain political climate.
